Hoptock ("we", "our", or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your information when you use our desktop application and website.
Information We Collect
Account Information
When you create an account, we collect your email address and password (securely hashed). This information is stored securely via Supabase.
Activity Data
Hoptock tracks application usage on your computer to help you understand how you spend your time. This includes:
- Application names and window titles
- Time spent in each application
- Timestamps of activity
Important: Activity data is stored locally on your device by default. It is only synced to your ClickUp workspace when you explicitly assign time entries to tasks.
ClickUp Integration
When you connect Hoptock to ClickUp, we request access to your ClickUp workspace to:
- Retrieve your tasks and workspaces
- Create time entries on your behalf
We do not store your ClickUp data on our servers. The integration operates directly between your device and ClickUp's API.
Payment Information
Payments are processed by Stripe. We do not store your credit card details. Stripe's privacy policy governs their handling of your payment information.
How We Use Your Information
- To provide and maintain the Hoptock service
- To process your subscription payments
- To send important service-related communications
- To respond to your support requests
- To improve our product based on usage patterns (anonymized)
Data Storage and Security
Your activity data is stored locally on your device in an encrypted database. Account data is stored securely on Supabase's infrastructure with industry-standard encryption.
We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal information against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction.
Third-Party Services
We use the following third-party services:
- Supabase - Authentication and account management
- Stripe - Payment processing
- ClickUp - Time entry synchronization (when you connect your account)
- Cloudflare - Website hosting and security
Each service has their own privacy policy governing their use of your data.
Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you
- Request correction of inaccurate data
- Request deletion of your account and associated data
- Export your data in a portable format
- Withdraw consent for data processing

Data Retention
We retain your account information for as long as your account is active. Local activity data remains on your device until you delete it. If you delete your account, we will remove your personal data from our servers within 30 days.
Children's Privacy
Hoptock is not intended for use by children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new policy on this page and updating the "Last updated" date.
